The short version

1. Who we are

Linkesi is made by Warm Signal, run by Vladyslav Kaliuzhnyi as a sole trader in Poland (ul. Powązkowska 42/173, 01-797 Warszawa, Poland, NIP 5253076148). We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

Contact for anything about privacy: privacy@linkesi.app.

2. What we collect and why

Your account

Your email address, your name, your password (stored only as a secure hash by our auth provider) and, if you add them, a profile photo and your birthday. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we get the name and email address they share with us. Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your real one.

Your couple

When you connect with your partner using an invite code, we store that you're a couple and the details you two add: your relationship status, the dates that matter to you (together since, engaged, married), your day counter and your city. We never ask for your or your partner's gender.

What you create

Plans, to-dos, wishes, drawings and your widget history, photos and captions in Memories, Our story moments and countdowns, what you add in All about your partner (sizes, favourites, gift ideas), game and quiz answers, Secret yes answers, Photo hunt photos, weekly check-ins, notes you send in Breather, “thinking of you” taps, and your choices in Date ideas and Watch together. For photos, we also keep the date and place they were taken, so we can show them on the right day.

Some of this is private until you both act: your Date ideas and Watch together swipes are never shown to your partner, only the matches you both chose; game answers show once you've both answered; in Secret yes your partner only ever sees the cards you both said yes to, never your “maybe” or “no”.

Secret yes

Secret yes asks what you'd like to do together, and some cards (especially in the Adventurous and Spicy decks) are about intimacy. Your answers can reveal details of your sex life, which the GDPR treats as special-category data. We process them only with your explicit consent, which you give in the app before you start. We use them only to show the two of you your matches. They never go into analytics or crash reports, and we never use them for anything else. Spicy is a separate, 18+ deck: each of you turns it on yourself, it opens only when you both have, and turning it off deletes your Spicy answers and matches. To withdraw your consent for the other decks, write to privacy@linkesi.app and we'll delete your Secret yes answers, or delete your account.

What you write in Linkesi can say a lot about your relationship, and some of it may count as sensitive data under the GDPR (for example about health or intimacy). We don't ask for it. If you choose to add it, we store it only so you and your partner can see it, and you can delete it at any time.

Security settings

If you turn on two-factor authentication, our auth provider stores the secret for your authenticator app, and we store your backup codes only in hashed form. App lock uses Face ID, Touch ID or your phone's fingerprint or PIN. That check happens on your phone, and we never receive any biometric data.

Notifications

A push token for each of your devices, your notification settings (including quiet hours) and a log of the notifications we sent, so we can respect limits and quiet hours. We write notification texts to be safe on a lock screen: they never include answers, notes or wish titles.

Premium

Subscriptions are sold by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play). We never see your card or bank details. We receive your subscription status (plan, trial, renewal and expiry dates, store) so Premium works for both of you.

Help and feedback

If you write to us from the app or by email, we get your message, your account email, anything you attach (like a screenshot), and basic technical details such as the app version and phone model.

Crash reports

When the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a report: what went wrong, the app version, the phone model and operating system, and a random user ID. Reports don't include the things you write or the photos you add. You can turn them off in Settings → Privacy → Crash reports.

Usage analytics

If you tap “Allow” (and only then), we use Firebase Analytics to see which features people use, so we know what to improve. It collects app events (for example “opened Date ideas” or “started the free week”), which Premium plan you picked, the app version, operating system, phone model, language, your approximate location (city and country, which Google estimates from your internet connection, not from GPS) and an app-instance ID. Google Play and the App Store also report subscription events to it (plan, price, renewals). It doesn't collect your content (including which Secret yes cards you answered), your name or email, and we've turned off advertising IDs. You can turn it off any time in Settings → Privacy → Usage stats.

Technical data

Like any online service, our servers see your IP address and request details. We use them to keep the service secure, for example to limit how often an invite code can be tried.

Our website

linkesi.app sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or trackers. Cloudflare, which serves it, may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from abuse.

Nobody else in the app. There are no public profiles, friends or feeds.

Content services. To show events, series and weather we use Ticketmaster, TVmaze and Open-Meteo, and city names from GeoNames. We send them only what's needed to look things up, like a city, never your name, email or what you write. Links to tickets or maps open the other company's site or app, and their own privacy policies apply there.

Authorities, only when the law requires it.

We don't sell your data and we don't share it for advertising.

5. Transfers outside the EU

Some providers above are based in the USA. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for details at privacy@linkesi.app.

6. How long we keep it

7. Deleting your account

In the app: Settings → Delete account. If you can't open the app, follow the steps on linkesi.app/delete-account.

We delete your profile, profile photo, wishes, swipes, drawings and widget posts, your photos, your game and quiz answers, your notification settings and push tokens, and your two-factor settings. Your shared space with your partner ends too. Your partner gets a fresh space of their own and keeps their own wishes. Everything else you shared (plans, lists, Memories and other photos, Our story, All about, game and Secret yes answers) is hidden from both of you straight away and deleted, with its files, 30 days later.

Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to:

Write to privacy@linkesi.app from the email address on your account. We reply within one month. You can also complain to the Polish data protection authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, uodo.gov.pl, or to the authority in your own EU country.

9. Your choices in the app

10. How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our hosting provider. Database access rules make sure only the two people in a couple can read that couple's data. Two-factor authentication and app lock add extra protection on your side. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn of a breach that puts you at risk, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

11. Age

Linkesi is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you think someone under 18 is using Linkesi, tell us at privacy@linkesi.app and we'll delete the account.

12. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll also tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
